There are multiple different features that need to be included in your business cards, but they can be separated into two categories for the most part. While there are numerous text elements that you would definitely need to add to your business cards, the most important one would be your company name and your contact information since without these details your business card would be little more than a strip of useless paper.

Any visual category elements that you add to your card will be secondary to its text elements. What we mean by this is that your design should not conceal the text of the card, instead it should highlight it and draw attention to it. You should at the very least embolden the essential details we have referenced above, with the other text elements being less visible if you so desire. A simple business card with clear details can often be more enticing than a visually excessive one with hard to read text.
